Here at Mexico Sterling, we understand that many people nowadays are on a budget and may not be able to pay the full price right away for the items that they want. That's why we created the Sterling LayAway Plan, so everyone can enjoy our Mexican silver jewelry and take a small piece of our beautiful Mexico with them.

How do I sign up or apply for one of your layaway plans?
Sign up is easy – all you need to do is to place your order, and at check out choose the Sterling LayAway option and select the proper plan from the dropdown in accordance to your order's total.
Are there any fees?
Yes. There's a Layaway Fee of $5, $8 or $10 depending on your order's total (refer to table). There's also a cancellation fee if you have already enrolled in the plan. The Layaway fee will be paid on the first payment of your plan and it's not refundable.
How many months can I take to finish paying for my order?

How are the payments set up and what payment methods do you accept?
Once you place your order, we will contact you to set up the payment method. We accept credit card, paypal and money orders (Only those issued by the USPS). If you choose the first two, you will let us know if you want us to contact you for the next month's payment and complete the transaction over the phone or we can set up an automatic payment, and the amount agreed, for the specific months will be charged automatically on that date. Either way, we will send a receipt for your payment every time. Whatever makes you feel more comfortable, you choose.
Now, if you want to send payment by money order, you can do that, but please note that you have to send payments on time, so we can receive them on the settled date. Failure to do that, we'll just cancel your layaway and place the items in your order on stock again and available to the public for sale. Unless there's a good reason for the delay. If for whatever reason, you know you will be late, please let us know in advance and we'll figure something out, but you have to let us know in advance.
What happens if I want to cacel my order, after some payments had already been made?If you want to cancel after some payments or the whole payment had been made, we can refund your money, however, we will not refund the layaway fee and you will be charged the cancellation fee shown above in the table.
What happens if I miss a payment or my payment is late?
In this case, we are sorry but we will have to put the items in you order on stock again in our store to the general public, so somebody else can purchase them. If you already made any payments, we will refund those payments. Except for the layaway fee and the cancellation fee. As it was already mentioned above.
But remember, if you need to call us to let us know why you will be late or if there's an important issue that needs to be clear with us, before the payment is due, then we can figure it out. Please follow these rules to avoid cancelation.
Can I choose when I will place my first payment or deposit?
No, the initial payment or deposit is made at the time you place your order, along with the layaway fee. When we contact you to settle the method payments, that's when the first deposit is made. So please be ready to make that first payment, when you place your order. This initial deposit amount is in required, and shows us that you are serious about the purchase.
We purposely set up our layaway plan so that it’s consumer-friendly and easy to use. Because of this, we ask that you make sure that you can pay for your items in full by the end of layaway period before you place your order.
