Decorated Margot de Taxco Silver Earrings

These silver pieces were made from the original Margot de Taxco molds by a new generation of silversmiths. These pieces were made by Melesio Rodriguez Villalba's grandson. Just as talented as his grandfather. He learned from Sr. Villalaba how to make these beautiful silver pieces using the same molds from the early 1950s. His grandfather, who worked with Margot Van Voorhies Carr for 24 years and who is eighty-eight years old, continues making these beautiful pieces. He was responsible for the execution of many of  Margot's designs. His artist's registry number of "MR." "TR-114" is widely recognized as one that uses Margot's original molds.

These earrings are sterling silver and flawlessly crafted. They carry the original mold's number, along with the family's name and hallmark on them. These pieces were made with a "950" sterling silver purity, a better quality silver than the most common 925.
