Gorgeous silver beauty from the "Old Taxco" era, this is such a great piece of jewelry with all the nice features for vintage pieces from Mexico.
This is an artisan silver piece, completely handmade with excellent workmanship and beautifully finished. It is sturdy and substantial in weight, just like they used to be in the 1940's - 1950's.
Due to higher silver prices over the years, silver jewelry has been created to be more affordable, meaning that the more modern pieces today, are lighter and sometimes not so sturdy and well built.
But this piece, has it all. A beautiful look that can be worn to complete any fashion style, it is a timeless silver design that will turn heads for sure.
It also carries 3 natural Crisocolla cabochons with a lovely green color. Even though this piece was made in the late 1950's, it is in absolutely mint condition, it has never been worn, none of the stones are cracked or loose. I know that many silver jewelry collectors love when these kind of pieces carry the original patina, that old, natural tarnish that forms on silver over time. Unfortunately, this piece has been cleaned, loosing that feature, but I can assure you that this piece is a real vintage treasure.
As any vintage piece, this silver cuff carries the hallmarks that identify it as an original vintage cuff. You can find the hallmarks on the back. One is the store's hallmark. Los Ballesteros, one of the oldest silver stores in Taxco, there's also an eagle mark with the number 41 o 47, it is difficult to see clearly, and lastly there's too the words "Sterling 925" and "Hecho en Mexico" for made in Mexico.
Please take a look at the extra photos, for more details on this beautiful silver cuff bracelet.
